As part of Heritage Month, MANZI Water is taking steps to highlight its commitment to socially conscious initiatives that foster South African heritage while supporting an organisation dedicated to empowerment and skills development.
The MANZI Water team will now source some of its branded clothing from Business4Transformation (B4T), which will be worn primarily by the more than 300 employees in the business, with plans to make the MANZI Water apparel available to our broader community over time.
“The MANZI Water family is proud to partner with businesses and organisations that are committed to making a positive, lasting impact on society. Organisations like B4T are an excellent fit for us, as they embody the values that we hold dear,” said Alfred Challis, CEO of MANZI Water.
“We are equally pleased to share the MANZI Water apparel with Gwijo Avenue, the men behind the a cappella group who sang the official MANZI Water song, and First Touch Football Club, a women’s soccer club based in Polokwane, Limpopo,” he added.
B4T focuses on integrating business with social impact by creating sustainable ventures that transform communities. The partnership with B4T reflects MANZI Water’s commitment to supporting and promoting the rich cultural heritage that we are so fortunate to be a part of in South Africa. Its mission is to empower individuals through comprehensive training programs, equipping them with practical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Over the past 15 months, B4T has established a comprehensive sewing skills training facility. The program goes beyond basic sewing instruction, offering a holistic nine-month curriculum that covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Sewing Proficiency,
- Entrepreneurship Education, and
- Job Creation.
The products made by trainees during their training are sold to support B4T’s sustainability. Revenue generated from sales is reinvested into the organisation, allowing for the continued provision of stipends to students and the expansion of training facilities.
B4T relies on the support of individuals and organisations who share a vision for skills upliftment and job creation. We invite other interested parties to learn more about how they can contribute or partner with B4T to support this important mission.
